@NemeHexDraws My main issue with the "photography" comparison, though, is that photography can't pass for an actual painting. You can still tell those two apart from eachother if you looked at each one of them for even half a second. AI doesn't do that: It generates 100% indistinguishable results from either movies, photographs, digital art, (photos of) traditional art, EVEN SPEEDPAINTS/TIMELAPSES OF PEOPLE DOING DIGITAL ART, etc. There's no fair comparison in here in this case. As for the skill required to properly use AI, I feel like you haven't answered me directly: It's not gonna take too long until AI advances even more and thus next to zero human input is required to produce the same results as before. Then what? Will your initial argument still remain valid when it had transcended beyond the status of a mere tool?
As for the jobs and the whole "shtealing" arguments, though: Yeah. I'm uninterested in those. They don't make much of a difference for me if at all as most jobs in the industry are already very corporatized and "soulless" without AI anyway and the whole "stealing" issue doesn't make much of a practical difference anyway. So f*ck the "artists" that are complaining only for the jobs exclusively.
