@ScorpionClaws789 Is it? Because I'm pretty sure NANOWRIMO themselves talk about generative ai (like chat gpt, which if you use it, you'll know you CAN'T just generate a book and publish it—it's terrible) vs non generative AI. It's maddening watching people selectively listen to things because it's more fun to be mad. Even they say gen-ai is impossible to prohibit and ruins the process for the user. What do you want them to do? Develop their own AI tool to detect AI use? Oh wait, that doesn't work reliably because its not possible beyond placating enraged uninformed people online.
Seems much more like people hear AI and go feral because its the outrage of the day.
Seriously, no one writing anything sensible is using Gen-AI in the way you're all talking about it—you act like you can press a button and it'll generate a book. Sure it probably could, but that book would be terrible hot garbage that anyone could spot in a minute.
