I might be playing the devil's advocate here (Which in this case just means I'm open to getting my mind changed), but I feel like the problem are the people who create them, and people who request someone to create them. A consumer is still not doing the right thing, don't get me wrong, but most people who are consuming that type of content, and porn in general, are heavily addicted. Porn addiction works in a lot of the same way as drug addiction. I'm gonna make a few comparisons here: 1. A non addict might watch porn occasionally, and in those cases it's legal, ethical and just regular porn. A non drug addict might use medications that have the same substances as recreational drugs. Both are fine. 2. When you become addicted, it starts small, and innocent, but you eventually need a bigger hit, and in the case of porn, that bigger hit is more taboo stuff (BDSM, deepfakes, incest etc.). Some addicts go even further and watch actual illegal stuff, much like a drug addict can start using more dangerous drugs. When you're an addict you know you should stop, you know what you're doing is wrong and you hate yourself for it. But you don't control your addiction, it controls you, and for many, external help is needed. That's why I don't believe the people who are looking and watching those videos are part of the problem. Some of them might be, but most of them are just mindless addicts trying to get a bigger hit. The sad thing is, a lot of those porn addicts would never support or do the things they watch, even the ones who watch illegal material. It's simply just the addiction taking over. But I am open for other points of view aswell. In any case, something needs to be done about this AI content and porn in general. It's destroying how men view reality and women, and none of that is healthy in the slightest. But I firmly belive the problem is in the industry, not the consumer.
