@sweatygoblin2335 Ye, I agree with your view. It *should* be used as a tool and one should never abandon the practical skills of doing art with it. Both can coexist together and that's fine by me.
But no, this wasn't supposed to be a "score" against you specifically. It's just that the pro-AI community, while not all composed of these types of *"real* AI Bros", the type of people who views AI as the new industrial revolution of mass produced cheap high quality entertainment for consumption for little to no specialization or personal investment, does allow themselves to be associated with them to an extensive degree from passivity and an excess of tolerance. Case in point: The r/aiwars subreddit which *pretends* to care about this separation, but in reality it's the complete opposite. This is a big part of why artists generalize people who don't view AI as an enemy and is why we are in this situation to begin with. If you do not filter out the bad apples from your group, they will spoil the bunch and destroy the good will from outsiders. It's the same thing that happens when right wing people are a-okay with *those types* of right wingers to walk around with them and then complain about their type of reputation online. This goes for every group in existence.
