They aren't without problems.
They don't have good range unlike regular drones. They are tethered to something. It's kind of like a wire guided missile. Difficult to spoof but poor range.
Best solution is autonomous drones using computer vision to autonomously identify and destroy hostile targets. This too requires proper training of the model though.
