@atha5469 It's not the same. There is food all over the world; in caves, deserts, oceans, mountains, etc. It grows without my input. AI has to have something burning coal or other fossil fuels, building windmills or solar panels, maintaining dams, etc. Our drone and robotic technology isn't even close to being able to do those things.
I guess, in short, I can feed myself without any help. AI can't.
As far as human being being in charge of AI (as in the Butlarian Jihad from Dune) It's just one more weapons system that the masses will have to deal with; like assault rifles, nukes, tanks, etc.
