Those are not great examples of artists whose work requires substantial skill and knowledge. Warhol could draw, but the work he became famous for was a stunt- trolling society and the wealthy.
AI systems do not require people at all. Chat GPT can prompt images from Stable Diffusion. If you have tried image prompting complete nonsense you know generative AI still creates impressive images, collaging from it is massive database. The prompt is superficial. The content it is trained on is key. This is not a tool we have seen before, this is not a tool. Generative AI trained on the LAION data set are machines made to mass counterfeit copyrighted content.
