Computers are kind of sad for humanity. People can automate tasks that they'd normally have to spend hours or days on using their brains. The internet is even sadder for humanity. Instead of engaging their brains in the exercise of handwriting and embracing the patience of waiting to receive a letter back, they're feeding their dopamine-hooked brains with instant responses. And now, instead of waiting for scheduled programming on broadcast television like a sensible normal person, people are now binging hours and hours of on-demand video.
Technology has always been a curse and the industrial revolution was a mistake. When you remove labour, humanity is inherently lazy. We're all so lazy for letting factory machinery do our jobs for us instead of actually learning and doing the work. /:
