I'm not looking to argue and you obviously care enough about this that any attempt to explain will feel like arguing, but anything made with AI is made in pieces and made with the intent of the person making it, this is nearly the same as searching for and finding clipart or premade assets to use. Then the author pieced it all together. If this doesn't count as design I don't know what does. Whether a graphic designer is an artist or not isn't what I was arguing, rather I was saying if this cannot be called art we should still be able to call it something other than 'not art' and I think since the human in the loop is putting it all together to make something greater than the pieces that make it, that it should probably be called design.
