Also, ChatGPT in particular have been experiencing some problems with model routing. GPT-5 it's not a single model, but a set of models chosen based on the user's input. I've had some chats with it where it missed the most obvious jokes and otherwise was behaving dumb, whereas GPT-4 was consistently okay.
