You have no clue what you are talking about. You're about 20 years behind on LIDAR-based mapping and driverless tech. These cars don't even have any crashes recorded, all non-faults. They have faster reaction times than any human, can beat lap times on racetracks faster than any human, and absolutely drive safer than human is capable of due to the speed of it's computational power.
If you can't trust this system, then you should not be using a car in the first place.
Also, you must be buying shit phones, I've owned and worked with hundreds of modern smartphones, all of which don't have any glitches or bugs outside of indie developed apps.
