I believe that all forms of creation are art because people don’t only take pieces and fragments from other creations, someone’s emotions and experience directly or indirectly affects the piece. I would create something different depending on what I’m going through and the mood I’m in. And I think that’s at the core of creation.
When you remove the reason and emotion from a piece, a painting, a book, a film, etc., you remove the art. The computer cannot interpret other people’s emotions, so at the point that it takes from references by so many people, it loses meaning. If renowned good book most people read in an English class, ex Fahrenheit 451 was printed by a computer, the commentary would fall flat.
I do think that you can actually create something out of interpretation of an AI generated image because you yourself are adding experience to it, but by itself it doesn’t hold the label of “art”.
anyways i got really serious, i blame companies for trying to replace people for cheap labor etc etc remember to not take yourselves too seriously all of the time and have fun too
