AI 'robotic' systems will in future be entirely rebuilding whole systems into modular systems repairable and upgradable by AI bots, so the cross-threading issue, & all other similar 'physical layer' if you will, issues will be designed out - they were after all designed with the human body as primary tool. This model will be entirely abandoned, even outlawed. Individual humans and groups of humans, could be prohibited from use or development of such things as hex bolt heads or threads. If found to be doing so the humans could be relocated to an environment wherein it is no longer possible. Planet Of The Ai's.
