@Lronhoyabembe  fair enough, except Tesla has always said you must pay attention so often it's basically a broken record at this point. So yes they are covering their ass, but also these incidents wouldn't happen if people aren't fucking idiots that choose to ignore the cars attempt to have them paying attention, literally placing weights on the wheel to fool the system. Is the name misleading? Kind of. as you've said the difference is looking away for a few moments vs not at all. Not identical obviously but not far off. They make it sound like it's fully automated, but they have always told you to pay attention. The only thing it allows you to do is to do nothing but pay attention and monitor what's going on. Are they wrong in that? I really don't think so. Also, Tesla is a very hyped company and especially with Elons' recent quarrels with the media, there are absolutely other crashes happening with other autonomous systems, same with battery fires. They just only mention Tesla because ever since the beginning, the media hated Tesla and loved to blow up stories about Tesla comparer to other companies because they get more views that way. It's like the way the media will post 100 stories about white on black crime, instead of black on black or white on white because even though its completely inconsistent with reality, they have a narrative, and they stick to it. I'm not an Elon fan boy, but you can't deny the influence he's had on the past 10 years in terms of space travel, ev development, AI development, and yes, self driving technology.
