You can't look at something AI generated and point to the source image, it's millions of parameters from millions of images mashed together. Let's say we have a rule that you can't use children and famous people in the dataset. Well you can still use those same millions of parameters and change them however you want (like make them resemble someone famous) WITHOUT using those pics in the dataset. Like, you know, in real life, you can look at someone and "steal" his face or something else. Are you against using references? Humans don't create new art from scratch, they look at the art that is already here, they learn, and then they make their own art. You just replace a human with a program and it's absolutely the same, but with some rules and restrictions added. Faces thing is already fixed, and hands thing will be fixed too in a couple of months/years. I can show you some artist who can't draw hands, so what does it mean? You don't even need to "steal" someone's art. But you may "steal" those parameters from the real pics to get an "artistic" depiction. Or you can gather them from copyleft photos of real people.
