@thisworld-u6l Hinton said we should stop training radiologists because their jobs would all be done by AI within the next decade - by now, in other words. It hasn't happened, and there's really no prospect of it happening any time soon. So he was wrong. I work in this area: of course, AI has some applications in it, and will have many more over the next 10 to 20 years. But human radiographers are going to be needed for a LONG time to come.
