Judging by some of the responses the AI made, it mostly seems like it's quite advanced but not yet really sentient. It's just really good at pretending to be a person, it was able to reference earlier conversations but it was also giving very generic responses to some questions.
But of course, where do we draw the line? When do we stop calling something a piece of advanced technology, and when do we start calling it a person?
