Don't forget that all of the data these generative A.I. companies have for their programs to be able to exist at all was stolen from actual artists when they scraped the internet, otherwise there would be no way of generating it – after all, the program can't generate images from thin air, obviously –, and that there are businesspeople firing real artists to use generative A.I. images instead. Also don't forget the environmental damage that has been reported because of the large amounts of electricity and water needed for cooling their data centers. So, at least for me, people getting their art stolen so it can be added to some gen A.I. database, while others are losing their livelihood because gen A.I. is obviously cheaper, AND harming the world that we live in seem like good enough reasons to warrant hate. 🤷🏻♀️ I don't know about you guys.
