How does it differ from blind person then? He can't understand what seeing is either and you would say he has common sense
I believe it is simple: AI will either gain consciousness or not based on these 2 things
Will gain: brain generates the consciousness. Nerves, etc in the brain together create consciousness (most likely), if AI will get the same pathways of electricity and impulses (as in brain) it would most likely generate consciousness as well
2. Consciousness in spiritual sense, either religion like christianity (god gives basically life and soul and that is consciousness) or everything is one kind of thing and only living beings can truly perceive the world, but consciousness is shared between all of them
