Rewatching has even got me slightly depressed, because I now suspect that the main reason why they let him on Big Think, and his Uber talk, is that he's got a talent for outputting a continuous stream of words and data points in a confident and expressive manner, regardless of argumentative structure. Its a damn shame that society rewards empty charisma like his.

I've identified at least one argument he puts forward, that UBI will simply go right back to the big corporations. I think he simply got stuck in a rut once that point came to him, and lost his imagination, which, to be fair, happens to everyone. A good counterargument would be the existence of the main street economy. Yes, inevitably some of the UBI will go right back to big automata, but surely one can imagine how UBI would stimulate local businesses at least as much, if not more.
