I understand well your points.
However, I believe that “AI taking over” won’t be because it does it better, but rather it can only take over for those that believe it will.
Clogged pipes, installing a new washer and dryer, replacing wheel bearings on a Tesla, harvesting corn fodder for cow feed, installing new household windows, making pizza at the local ‘house of pizza,’ repairing a farm tractor in a field, welding girders for a prestressed interstate bridge, pulling lobster traps, installing a vinyl floor in your bathroom, providing phd psychological care, installing fiber optics underground, etc. etc. etc.
There are so many things that even IF a.i. were actually intelligent it cannot do. I mean theoretically, at a sci-fi scale, I guess robots can do all these things. But we are so so far away from that fiction becoming a reality.
