This is simply not true from what I've seen. Any job with a large training dataset is susceptible to job loss. This is one reason Teslas are transmitting driving data: to train the next generation of autonomous driving. Do a quick search on the number of programming jobs year over year. Some reports show lower end jobs are already at the 1980's level. I agree that most higher-end skilled white-collar labor is safe for now as is lower-end cheap manual labor. But for how long? You need to remember that we are in the very early age of AI. Your phone is already orders of magnitudes more powerful than a MacIntosh and these were all 100% human engineered. AI is already making large contribution to chip design. AI will, at least in part, be contributing to the next generation of AI design. And its not linear. It's capabilities are growing on a curve.
