@katieandnick4113the direction society is heading now, the land lords and corporate owners will be paying for the trade skills. So they’ll still be needed. And good luck “breaking in” to trades with journeyman’s licenses where actual time and skill are required. It’s not that simple.
Specifically on the topic of plumbers, robots and water don’t mix well. Yes they can be made water resistant, but that’s expensive.
A lot of this is just hype and crying wolf. I do not see AI taking many trade skill jobs in our life time.
