Sure it takes a couple thoughts for a concept, but there is literally no effort in it. Typing “girl in a city with portal” and getting five images using stolen concepts is laughably easy. There is absolutely no real thought, no action put towards making that vision come into reality, other than typing in what, eight keywords? There’s a short titled “I made this photo with a plastic bag”, I would highly recommend looking it up. This guy hikes, drives, flies in planes and sits out in freezing rain to get the perfect shot. He paints with light and fire, he WORKS for his craft. He thinks “I would love to see a concept of a girl in a city with a portal” and he drives, he gets a model (and her permission. Half of ai art is stolen faces without permission), he sets up a scene and he works for hours afterwards to edit it to perfection. He’s a photographer, and yes he “presses a button” to get an end result, but there are THOUSANDS of steps before and after that, all of which require hours of forethought and planning, producing a stunning piece. Sure, you can get the same result with a button and eight words on a computer… but it is not art, it does not make a “prompter” an artist. Human effort, forethought and planning makes real art, and I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t.
