@reiserbount have you even seen some of the AI art ? Because you clearly havent done your research properly . Sometimes the AI just takes a single drawing , changes the hair or something , and puts it out as "original" without credit . Not to mention the artists' consent . I doesnt "learn" as you think , it copies and gathers them , those may sound close but are compeletly different things on the ethical side .
When I reference/study/copy work from artists' without asking them , I dont share the work around , sell them , or claim that it is mine or original . It is just a study and when people ask where it is from I credit the artist properly . AI does none of the things its supposed to do for it to be considered ethical , nor the people that use AI .
AI would be ethical only if the programmers of the AI made contracts with consenting artists to use their art in their AI, AND share the profit they have made with the contracted artists . Yall sound dumb defending "beep boop" art thief like that .
