I think that a lot of AI-generated art lacks that quality, but I have generated some that really made me feel things. So I don't 100% agree, however I will also say that it takes a lot of work and effort to get good results.
In most cases it's just not worth it for me vs drawing something. But I can 100% see myself using it for things in the future. Similar to how Daromeon uses it - he's probably the best example of an artist showing that he uses AI for grunt work tasks and still gets great results without losing the "soul quality". (Though I really don't like calling it "soul" since that's basically a religious argument, and I don't imagine too many artists making that statement are religious.)
