most of what makes us what we are is pattern matching and prediction
the human brain while doing it much more efficiently and at much bigger scales dose nothing a current neural network can't
and current neural networks themselves might get replaced by better ways to imitate a biological brain
in the next 50 years or so we will make machines better than ourselves in every way
and then whether we all die or come to a golden age will be chosen by the glorious machines.
that is the inevitable future of humanity if it survives long enough.
