@BabyNuggetSan I have doubts about last take. if we look into history of technology:
1. we kind of stopped progressing on travel speed, we are not getting any faster at least noticeably (plane is fastest and it travels at kind of same speeds it was traveling 50 years ago) same with rockets, cars, trains ships etc.
2. computers, computers speed also stopped progressing at exponential level, now we just scale in size and multithreading (linear growth, not exponential).
So I have no reason to believe AI won't stop progressing at big steps soon enough, mostly because it is dependent on computer speed.
