While there’s some anecdotal truths and some logic to what you’re implying as disinformation alongside an assumed similarity to a ‘what about ism’… unfortunately there’s flaws in those statements. While in theory and maybe someday in practice, methane generators and the extraction and use of natural gas can just create a bit of carbon dioxide and water as the byproduct. This is absolutely not a reality today in any of the current or past extraction processes, transportation and its potential use in something like a methane generator for electricity. Especially when a corporation bypasses or ignores legal regulations and laws both federal and local setting up and using them. There’s anything from leaky wells, pipes, valves and incomplete combustion to nitrogen oxides that are significant considering that X database I understand had 18 of the methane generators up and running- again which is and was done without following any regulations or laws that in fact do exist for a legitimate reason. Especially in that specific area that’s already been established a hot spot for corporations to get away with polluting and taking advantage of the place for decades. Also, I understand that the place uses 30,000 gallons of water a day that’s taken from one of this countries cleanest aquifers- that is absolutely not infinity sustainable nor without consequences to extract that much so quickly for various reasons. I have no idea what goblin you’re talking about nor what India has to do with the facts and realities of this specific database and the actual realities of a methane generators, methane and national gas, the pollution that actually occurs and with the legality of how one is to even go about operating one in that area. Also, yes coal extraction and burning is insanely shitty for people and the environment - and fun fact burning coal emits more radiation by far than any nuclear power plant. I’m not exactly sure the specifics of what kind of radiation or exactly how much it contributes to the shitty part of coal plants, but hey’ that’s for us to look into when we get a chance. Thanks
