Yeah but the length of denial people go through just because they are pissy about ai is ridiculous. It's really history repeating itself again. These same things used to be said about digital art in general.
On its own any non sentient generator will be flawed because it cannot understand what it's making. But people always pretend like that's all it is. There is a human behind it that has to use the tool. And as with any art form that human can make bad or good stuff.
Asking a text generator to make a story based of a single sentence doesn't make you a writer. But interacting on it with different additions and inserting themes and proper cohesion does. Art with any kind of ai is using the ai to put your creative vision on paper
