OK. So I might not have time to finish this research... so if anyone wants to steal this idea: too bad, I'm giving it to you. Can't steal what's already yours.
The technique is called "training data reconstruction" and you might remember it from how chatgpt2 would hand out people's home address and phone number.
This technique is especially important to develop for closed models like gpt, as those models definitely do steal content and lie about it.
Suit may not be approachable for the average artist, but it's way harder for a judge to dismiss "here is the model generating this exact piece of my art."
