In my opinion, Detroit is an overly dramatized, polarized example, with some semblance of nuance but it all gets thrown out for "pro-robot good anti-robot bad". All those unemployment concerns? Tossed. All the issues with them gaining sentience without being created to be so? Tossed. It's like using the original Star Wars Trilogy as an argument against monarchy. Neither have a substantial message, and are purely vessels for our entertainment.
