I think the reason architects and engineers in the 2000s didn't complain about that it's because.. 1. They got paid to GIVE the info unlike AI sourcing. 2. The computer didn't JUST build the entire thing, they still had to make it THEMSELVES 3. It didn't let anyone without knowledge of engineering and architecture to build a house. REVIT didn't try to replace the engineers and instead actually worked to HELP them. Unlike AI which just steals and tries to oversaturate the art market. And i can continue. Blacksmiths didn't get replaced, they are still hired to make test models and to research new ways on improving current models. They didn't get their work stolen by the pressers. Store bought bread isn't the same worth as bakery bread, which still has a large demand due to cultural significance and the fact they didn't need to follow a corporate rule, they could have done more unique and risky ideas for fun with their group of customers still going to appreciate the effort. And Carpenters didn't even get replaced by anything. You see how you are not using "'replacement" correctly? You are instead just skipping information and using misinformation to make a bad point. Prompting isn't the same as asking REVIT for a design since you still need to calculate the owned area, still need to make sure everything is safe, and it takes actually more effort to check if it would work than writing a single sentence. And even though i appreciate your last line at the end, the thing is that it's not gonna work like that. AI is gonna do to art like what Atari Slop did in the Video Game Crash. Lots of good titles were overshadowed by lazy titles which almost killed gaming. AI is going to do the same thing to art if we do not fight it.
