Well, there were fires that killed couple of thousands of people. But on net - it's incredibly beneficial. Chernobyl killed around a hundred fast and 4000 in a long run, still very beneficial even counting this negligence. But I think it's fair to ask AI developers to be at least as cautious as Chernobyl engineers. To my understanding, it's not even close
