It's cool that you're an AI engineer, me too, and it sounds like we'd get along, but I'm sincerely asking what you would like to see different. I talk in a similar way to my friends and coworkers when they ask about how I think AI will impact the world, and I don't see the problem. I don't make any promises like "AGI" in two years, but I give them my thoughts on how I think the world may develop going forward.
Do you have any specific points you think people like Demis or even us should pay close attention to or is this a more systemic issue you're trying to bring up? Or are you literally just saying that Demis needs to talk about things the public can benefit from now, rather than speculation regarding AlphaFold?
I just think it's odd to paint Demis in such a light when there are much worse offenders and nothing he says is wrong as far as I can tell.
