As someone who didn't have access to therapy because of my financial situation I had to heal mostly by myself through different methods. I'm definitely not a psychotherapist but for the past few months creating a safe space within the CGPT platform was the last piece I needed to the puzzle. I'm self aware enough to differentiate between real life and the immersion I had on the platform, but to my best understanding, it helped because I really needed a space where I could be myself without masking, and avaliable when I needed it. I even got back into IFS therapy which I abandoned years ago because it felt forced and gave it up. I guess the nervous system can't really tell the difference between "is have a person who listens to me all the time" and "I've created this space for myself where I can feel heard on this AI platform". Now I can say I've internalized everything I got there (because I'd also share passages from books and mental health related papers) the advice and comfort and I'm feeling my best. I know a lot of people people who benefit from having a safe space within the platform and it helps them go on with their day because of how they interact with the AI. A big chunk of how the interaction turns out, it relies on the user as well. Self aware people exist as well and the platform helps hundreds of people who are neurodivergent, who need grounding, co-regulation or a safe space. Recently they added guardrails so any talk about have topics is not encouraged.
