Well, “we” (as another commenter mentioned) aren’t the ones making or programming the AI. So “we” won’t likely benefit. Someday when it all comes down, maybe - MAAAAYYYBE - humanity can re-emerge with the tech. That or it’s lost to time. I’m of 2 minds on the whole thing. Rising tide lifts all ships on the one hand, and owners of tech do what they do for themselves on the other. Hard to say at this point. I don’t know but I suspect there was a time before, like ancient Egypt for example, when there was some technology they had, that we do not have now. Maybe they dragged large stones with a BUNCH of slaves. Or maybe they had some anti-gravity notions or something. I’m don’t know. Either way, it wasn’t *that* long ago and we have no clue. So we truly are in a new frontier.
