Obviously not, and you are making a straw man. We accept as a society that machine enhancements in some fields are unethical. If you go to a chess tournament and use an AI to win, it is unethical. It is not a direct correlation here, but I find it very different for an artist to be inspired, take the years required to learn to make art, transforming inspirations to their own voice--as opposed to a machine churning out a Facsimile that by definition cannot have inspiration as part of its makeup. This is the argument, not that artistic inspiration is bad. Art is art because of the human expression involved. If you remove that, then it is just product, same as a photocopy of a piece of art. The law protects against that.
If I put it another way, a human with no training or artists to use as examples will still create art. A machine needs our work to copy; a human does not. To us, influence is an aid, not the entire point. To the machine, without out work, there is nothing. It is 100% copy.
