+Eric O Yes, but not necessarily in a way that the programmer can know. Self-driving cars use machine learning where they learn from past experiences (and in the case of Tesla, from the experiences of every other Tesla car in the world). For example, it might just do what another car did in a similar situation which allowed it to get out safely.
