Though I do believe it would be inhumane to cheat and replicate a human's brain to be used as AI to serve other humans like in black mirror. Though it wouldn't be inhumane to cheat and replicate the minds of scientists and other visionaries for the purpose of furthering their research not to "extend their lives". Otherwise mass amounts of data and linear intelligence just can't become conscious unless it is programmed to simulate consciousness. I don't expect any living toaster to run for president.
