Bear in mind we are essentially meat robots so the difference is only in material choice and system architecture.
I think it would not be too far as if we could create a singularity with a set moral scheme we could quickly create the tech needed to ensure all sentient life is provided for. Also at what point does it stop becoming a robot and become complex enough to be seen as a form of life (e.g silicon based), these question are doing my head in, and I watched the video 3 hours ago)
