In all seriousness, what reason would anyone have to make a robot capable of human emotion if said emotions would be entirely unnecessary? What purpose would giving a mining robot human emotion and pain receptors serve if an automated mining robot would do the job better without them. Yes there are a few jobs like cooking and teaching that require a higher plain of cognition to do, but if we are making robots to teach kids wouldn't they have to be close enough to humans already for that job?
