Unfortunately machines can't reproduce in a way humans do, and they can't fix themselves and improve their design, or give themselves new goals. So humans would need to watch after robots anyway. Plus - it might be just cheaper to pay a human to do it, instead f buying and servicing a robot that would do the same. Humans are still cheaper and better workers, that need less attention from others.
