Robin Lindgren , I have plenty of them, namely, the fact that robotics and computers have been doubly increasing in power at, last check, every eighteen months, so, yes, they CAN become conscious organisms, and, if you add the fact that bioorganic circuitry could be tossed into the mix, then you would most likely have something along the lines of the more advanced Terminators, the most advanced Cylons, or humanoid Mavericks become a reality.  Furthermore, computers CAN make consciousness and will simply because of advancements in logic that are too far beyond the understanding of even the most intelligent of human beings.  Yes, a computer might be based upon what humans know, but that does not mean that a computer can not become smarter, let alone faster with its mental processes, than a human AND it also does NOT negate the potential for the abilities to develop consciousness and will to power a robot.  In addition, anyone that accepts evolution as the truth has already lost the debate by default, as evolution merely teaches that humans are animals that do not live with souls and spirits and, as such, technically also has no consciousness or will in the end, for consciousness and will are spiritual/metaphysical constructs, thus if robots can not have them, since they are essentially inferior clones of human beings, but in metal, mineral, and chemical forms, then likewise, according to evolutionary thought, can humans not also obtain those things in their lives.  However, your faulty form of pseudo-science has been proven wrong since souls and spirits HAVE been proven to exist and, as such, consciousness and will CAN indeed power robots.  Furthermore, consciousness and will already power bionic limbs on amputee humans and animals, thus if beings that are essentially not only filled with minds, bodies, souls, and spirits, but also are the most advanced computer system outside of YAHWEH EL ELOHIM Himself, then simply making a whole body run on similar principles can, and will indeed, prove that robots CAN achieve a state of consciousness and will in due time, thus destroying your argument.
