Than they move onto automating information: administrative, accounting, business, ext.
Eventually the economy produces products and services at marginal prices with no little to no consumers and crashes on itself.
Than people sabotage and become destructive at the cost of filling wealthy stock holders, politicians, and business men.
Only solution is to use this tech to colonize space and move people off this planet to uncolonized parts of space making people a valuable resource of properly trained to run automated machines in space with what looks like infinite resources and uncolonized potential.
