Extremely expensive compared to what? If you can get a robot to work 24/7 with out breaks and lunches for years on end it becomes cheaper than a human wage. As our tech advances and prices continue to drop robots are becoming cheaper then Chinese workers. As a computer science major I have had to do a fair bit of research into these subjects.
