artist here, what people seemingly fail to recognize is that basically every artist that’s ever existed, also “steals” inspiration and art styles from existing art/artists; we also copy other art to a degree, there is an exceedingly small amount of artists that can/could create art out of absolutely nothing but their own imagination and in a completely unique art style. also let’s be real AI art is still pretty dogshit to the trained eye
