Ah yes, the ai ‘artists’ are mad that artists are ensuring that their art can’t be duplicated by a robot. They are mad they can’t steal art. They are mad that they can’t take several art pieces made by one/many artists, some of which may have took tens of hours to make, shove it into an ai, and make something 10x worse than the original pieces. Saw one guy on twitter ‘talking’ about how writing prompts can take them 30+ minutes to do, complaining about how much effort they put into it to make it just perfect. Meanwhile, (a good chunk of) artists enjoy making art, even if it takes them multiple hours, and they can do what they like to do, sometimes for money. It feels like the ‘screaming wojak vs the gigachad’ meme from years ago, or ‘angry British kid vs gigachad’ (I don’t think there’s any current version of that meme, so closest I could get). They’re going online, complaining that they have to write precise sentences to get a good result, saying about how arduous, annoying, how mind-numbing it is, while they take people’s hard work, and make a machine generate pixels on a screen that has no effort behind it; and then artists just mind their own business, making art, they way they want to. Ai ‘artists’ are mad that, when they attempt to rob a bank, the guards force them on the ground under the threat of gunfire. They’re mad that artists aren’t just letting their art be stolen. They’re mad at artists showing even the slightest sign of resistance.
