I feel anyone using digital art should take a step back and look at themselves. Yes youre literally using algorithms for SKILLS analogue artists took years to learn and perfect before the advent of digital and here yall are with a simple click changing the technique of the pencil or brush, opacity, size, grain, etc. These artists were typically commissioned because of their specific skills. The advent of digital art ruined it for these artists. Some adapted and learned digital art and others just mostly left the industry. Hell a lot of digital programs do and are using AI already to predict a few things in their tools. Not at the same level, bit the algorithms are in there. Just like old school animators who used to draw everything with pencils and papers. They got replaced and rather swiftly. The same thing is going to happen to digital because guess what? Digital art is and was far closer to Ai and computers than it was to actual analogue art. Digital art can literally be summed up with 1s and 0s And be recreated with ones and zeroes. The writing was on the wall and I feel it was far more obvious to digital artists that theyd be replaced at some point than analogue artists who grew up before computers were common place. Those folks got blindsided. Digital artists for whatever reason ignored what was very obviously going to happen, whether it was just hubris or short sightedness this has Always going to happen.
