AI only excels for very specific applications with verifiable, repeatable results. I love it in panel designing software that automatically adds thousands of square feet of design materials according to what I set it at. I still turn off all auto-correct because computers don't understand English no matter how many grammerly aids claim they'll write for you. In other words, it's great in observational science and can only reasonably fake emotion and creativity. The reason people think it will lead us into a scientific utopia is because our cultural worldview is that the world is fundamentally understandable merely through natural processes, so a computer should be able to replicate reasonable creativity (or even better with all the tools at its disposal) when given the same knowledge as an artist.
This is exactly what most dystopian novels have debated for years. An overreliance on AI in everything won't work. It can't work because stupidity can't last forever.
